By A Correspondent- There was drama at Dotito police station when an attempted murder suspect fled from a lawful custody after disguising to go to the toilet.

The matter came to light on Friday at Bindura magistrates courts where Nigel Gonzo (19) appeared before magistrate Gloria Takundwa.

Takundwa sentenced Gonzo to six months behind bars.

Prosecutor Ngoni Kaseke told the court that on November 21 Gonzo who was at Dotito police station charged with attempted murder asked to go to the toilet.

He was accompanied by one constable upon coming from the toilet he took to his heels.

Police officers gave a Chase and eventually caught up with him.

They brought him back to the police station before sending him to court.
