Emmerson Mnangagwa has today with immediate effect fired the man who loyally deputised him during his Vice Presidency, the Energy and Power Development Minister Advocate Fortune Chasi and replaced him with little known Soda Zhamu.

It never rains but pours for Chasi who was the sacrificial lamb, while personally assisting to boost Mnangagwa’s reputation during the Grace Mugabe days when he, Mnangagwa, was Vice President, and Chasi deputised him in the Justice ministry.

The statement from Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda alleged that Chasi’s conduct had become incompatible with Mnangagwa’s expectations.
