BREAKING: State Not Opposing Rushwaya Bail, RTGS$90k Proposed
27 October 2020
By Jane Mlambo| As widely predicted, the state did not oppose the granting of bail to Zimbabwe Miners Federation (ZMF) President Henrietta Rushwaya when she appeared before the Harare Magistrates Court this afternoon.
Rushwaya was asked to pay ZWL$90 000 bail, reside at given address and surrender her passport to the police.
She was arrested yesterday afternoon after being busted while trying to smuggle 6 kilograms of gold to Dubai.
A Central Intelligence Organisation employee who was implicated in the Rushwaya gold heist was reportedly relieved of his duties by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
