A seventeen-year-old Grade 7 pupil at Mwacheta Primary School in Chipinge was confirmed dead upon admission at the Chipinge District Hospital this Tuesday after he was allegedly stabbed with a knife by a fellow classmate on their way home from school.

The pupil from Macheta community under Chief Musikavanhu reportedly died due to excessive bleeding after he was stabbed once on the heart.

Confirming the unfortunate incident, Chipinge District Schools Inspector Mr Richard Gabaza said details that led to the incident are still sketchy.

He however confirmed that police have picked up suspects for questioning.
