Tinashe Sambiri|MDC Alliance leader, President Nelson Chamisa has urged Zimbabweans to remain on high alert as the deadly COVID-19 pandemic continues to ravage the nation.
34 deaths were recorded in Zimbabwe in the last 24 hours and government sources have revealed hospitals are struggling to cope with the high incidence of COVID-19 cases.
Addressing mourners at the burial of Senator Christine Java Rambanepasi on Tuesday, President Chamisa said:
“The virus is upon us, let us remain vigilant as a nation.Remember nobody is safe, it can be you…
Let us all follow the laid down basic safety measures,” said President Chamisa.
He also described the late Senator Rambanepasi as an iconic woman who illuminated the nation with good works.
“I will not say much about the political side of her life.However let it be known that she was a dedicated cadre.”
