Tinashe Sambiri|MDC Alliance National Spokesperson, Advocate Fadzayi Mahere has been granted bail by a Harare magistrate.

Advocate Mahere was granted RTGS $ 10 000 bail by Magistrate Utahwashe.

“The People’s Spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere was granted RTGS10000 bail by Magistrate Utahwashe. She was ordered to Reside at her given address.

She will report to the police station every Friday and has been ordered to surrender her passport,” MDC Alliance said.

Advocate Mahere is expected to appear in court on February 23.

The MDC Alliance has also indicated that the State is seeking to rekove Harare Mayor, Councillor Jacob Mafume’s bail.

” The mayor of the capital city, Harare, cllr Jacob Mafume has been remanded out of custody to the 23rd of February 2021.

Despite being granted bail by the High Court the State is now seeking to revoke that bail on the same nefarious charges that he interferes with a witness. This allegation the High Court dismissed with contempt. State actions are malicious &vindictive. Cllr Mafume is however in Covid-19 quarantine.”
