According to President Chamisa, pretrial detention of political activists is ” persecution by prosecution.”

He also said COVID-19 awareness messages should be written in local languages:

This is excellent! We shall do more to encourage use of local
anguages to communicate to all Zimbabweans. Let this be the national rhythm. A people’s default setting is their own culture and language!!”

He also wrote a message of encouragement to MDC Alliance spokesperson Advocate Fadzayi Mahere:
“It is well! Keep leading and stay strong.. Victory is our next story!”
