By A Correspondent | Prison guards at Harare remand prison have prevented mass escape of inmates by firing gun shots after an inmate had led several others to hide in a cell ceiling.

The gun shots were fired after the number of inmates failed to tally when officers were locking up prisoners at 1800hrs.- More follows
