Tinashe Sambiri|Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration is deliberately exposing MDC Alliance Youth Assembly leaders Hon Joana Mamombe and Cecilia Chimbiri to Coronavirus, it has emerged.

According to Netsai Marova, Joana and Cecilia are sharing cells with individuals showing COVID-19 symptoms.

Despite being persecuted by Mr Mnangagwa’s administration, Joana and Cecilia are in good spirits.

Glad to have seen Hon Joana Ruvimbo Mamombe and Cde Chauya chauya Cecillia R Chimbiri in very high spirits and passing regards to all of u at Chikurubi Maximum Prison today.

They were in their complete PPE to protect themselves from Covid 19 as it is their greatest worry since they are staying with inmates with fever and cough and not sure wether it’s covid or not as there are no covid 19 tests being done in prison.

Let’s all remember them in our prayers for God’s greatest protection from this deadly pandemic and that they be set free for they did not commit any crime but are victims of the State’s ruthless acts of wanting to silence opposition voices.

In the end we need new leaders who respect human rights and the rule of law.
