10 Arrested For Holding Vuzu Party In Bulawayo

By A Correspondent| Police in Bulawayo arrested 10 people who were holding a vuzu party in Emganwini suburb in breach of lockdown regulations.

Posting on Twitter, the police said they recovered a cooler box and empty bottles of whisky.

“The ZRP is warning members of the public against vuzu parties and breaking lockdown regulations. On 06/02/21, 10 people were arrested for holding a vuzu party at Emganwini, Suburbs Byo. At the time of arrest, a cooler box and empty bottles of 750mls blended whisky were recovered,” the police said.

Vuzu parties now popular in Bulawayo are attended by mostly teenagers where they engage in alcohol, drug and substance abuse and end up voluntarily or involuntarily engaging in sexual activities with various partners.
