By James Gwati- Sungura Maestro and the country’s most happening musician, Alick Macheso says he misses live musical shows.
Cheso Power as he is affectionately known in the music cycles celebrateed his wife Nyaradzai’s half a century birthday at their Waterfalls home in Harare on Wednesday.
The musician used to celebrate his wife’s birthday during one of his family shows that were held during the first week of March.
He bemoaned the Covid-19 pandemic saying time will come to return to normalcy.
“We could have celebrated with fans, but you know there is this pandemic. We would have loved to make it a big one,” said Macheso.
The Madhau hitmaker presented a birthday cake to his ‘friend’ at a mini-party and described her as his pillar of strength.
“She is my pillar and we thank God for adding another year. I see her as a friend because we have been together for a long time now.
“We couldn’t do something big, we just wished her a happy birthday with children and grandchildren,” Macheso said.
