Three People Drown In Seperate Incidents This Week

Three people lost their lives after drowning in separate incidents which occurred in the Midlands province this week.

Two of the incidents occurred in Mberengwa, while in the other case, a woman’s body was found floating in a swimming pool in Kwekwe.

The body of Patricia Mbinga aged 36 who was an employee at a Kwekwe Primary School was found floating in a swimming pool at the school premises on Wednesday after she had gone missing on Monday.

In Mberengwa, a 19-year-old man’s body was found floating in Ndove river on Tuesday while the body of a 78-year-old man was found in Madzivire dam on Wednesday.

Reports indicate that in the Ndove river incident, Innocent Tadzembwa who was epileptic left his homestead early in the morning only for his body to be discovered floating in the river later that day.

In the Madzivire dam incident, Wilson Dube left for beer drinking at Chingechuru business centre on Tuesday only for his body to be found floating in the dam the following day.

Zimbabwe Republic Police Midlands provincial spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incidents.
