Veteran goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini is on the verge of writing another piece of history as his club Sekhukhune United are on the brink of automatic promotion into the DSTV Premier League.

Sekhukhune United were on Wednesday awarded three points on a 3-0 scoreline of their disputed match against Polokwane City which took them top of the log in the first division ahead of Royal AM on goal difference.

Sekhukhune now need to win in their last match at the weekend to gain promotion.

The 36 year old Kapini has previously won promotion with AmaZulu and Highlands Park when he joined them in the first division.

Kapini who has never hidden his desire to play for Zimbabwe national team again, has captained all the teams that he has played from his time at Highlanders.
