Lawyers for the former CJ and Justice Minister have requested permission to appeal against the composition of the bench as a two judge bench. @adv_fulcrum is opposing the request. The court hearing in Malaba's contempt of court has resumed. The hearing will proceed with 2 judges as Justice Chinamhora recused himself. Chinamhora confirmed that he had a meeting with the JSC Secretary Walter Chikwana. JSC is party to the hearing. pic.twitter.com/2zvnUAMQ7o

Justices Tsanga and Chirawu-Mugomba have dismissed the application for leave to appeal against the composition of the bench saying they are no prospects of success. The hearing is proceeding.
