By A Correspondent- The Zimbabwe Republic Police has announced that it has arrested 28 000 illegal miners.

ZRP said the arrests were made since the recent launch of an anti-illegal mining code-named Chikorokoza Ngachipere.

“On 12/8/21, Police arrested 146 people involved in illegal mining activities across the country. 28 037 people have been arrested since the commencement of the operation code named, “Chikorokoza ngachipere/ isitsheketsha kasiphele / no to machete gangs”, ZRP posted on their Twitter account at the weekend.
