By Farai D Hove | The ZANU PF leader Emmerson Mnangagwa yesterday finally congratulated Zambia’s President elect Hakainde Hichilema, 36 hours after.
This comes at a time when Mnangagwa’s spokesman George Charamba has openly mocked Hichilema.
Hichilema was elected President on Sunday evening, but it has taken Mangagwa 2 days to celebrate him after several years of personally sponsoring the incumbent Edgar Lungu.
Said Mnangagwa in a post on his social media handles:
“Congratulations Hakainde Hichilema on your election victory. I have no doubt that you will serve Zambia with distinction for the benefit of all.
I look forward to working with you over the coming years for the benefit of both peoples ?? ?? ,” he said.
