Dark Weekend For Harare As Zesa Switches Off Power

By A Correspondent- The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has announced that they will be a blackout in some parts of Harare this weekend.

In a statement Wednesday, ZESA said the blackout would be caused by some critical maintenance works in the areas listed below.

Friday 27 August 2021 from 0900 to 1200 hours Old Ardbenie and parts of Prospect, Friday 27 August 2021 0800 to 1700 hours Highfield: Mastones, Jerusalem, Egypt, Lusaka, Paradise, Utsanana and St Peters and Friday 27 August 2021 0700 to 1800 hours Sunningdale 2 and Sunningdale 3.

“ZETDC, ZESA Holdings’ electricity distribution arm, warned its customers to treat all circuits as LIVE during this period as power may be restored without notice,” Zesa said.
