By A Correspondent- Zambia has expressed dismay over President Emmerson Mnangagwa spokesperson George Charamba’s careless statement against their leader.

Charamba, early this year, posted on Twitter a statement labelling UPND leader and now Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema a sellout.

Mnangagwa’s spokesperson repeated the same utterances this week despite Hichilema winning the Zambia elections.

Hichilema’s Party spokesperson Joseph Kalimbwe told NewsDay that it was wrong for Charamba to attack his boss when there was no previous relationship with the new Zambian leader.

“In my own personal view, it is catastrophic. (The comments) cannot be taken lightly. What is worrisome is that he is using a fake name because he cannot come out openly as a spokesperson of a head of State to be saying such shameless statements,” he angrily said.
