Two People Missing in Kariba

Member of Parliament Mutsa Murombedzi has appealed for assistance in locating the missing individuals through an urgent social media announcement.

1. First Case: Missing Spear Fisherman

Name: Mativiri, also known as Hambalala.

Last Seen: December 31, 2024.

Details: Mativiri went spear fishing in the Zambezi River, Kariba. Only his clothes were recovered near the riverbank, along with a powerless phone. Despite searches in the area, no further evidence has been found.

2. Second Case: Missing Woman

Name: Sabina Shereni.

Last Seen: December 28, 2024.

Details: Shereni was en route to Kariba General Hospital but never arrived. Efforts to locate her by the community and local authorities have yet to yield results.

The police and local search teams have been mobilized, with appeals for any witnesses or individuals with information to come forward. Photos of the missing individuals have been distributed in the area, but further support from the public is critical.

MP Murombedzi emphasized the importance of reporting any leads to the nearest police station immediately, urging, “The community and parties are searching in and around the areas. Please help us bring them back home safely.”
