In a surprising turn of events, Zimbabwean artist Mudiwa Hood has withdrawn charges against DJ Ollah 7, whose real name is Owen Madondo.

The legal dispute that once seemed set to escalate has now come to a close, with Hood’s decision to retract the charges against the popular DJ.

The case initially began when Mudiwa filed charges against Madondo and controversial musician Holy Ten, sparking public attention due to the high-profile nature of the individuals involved.

However, in an unexpected development, the charges were officially withdrawn, and the matter appears to have been resolved.

DJ Ollah 7’s legal representation, Dumisani Mthombeni, made a statement on the withdrawal of the charges, providing clarity on the legal implications. “At law, Ollah can never be said to have harboured the recused intention to commit the alleged offense, so at law legally speaking there is no offense,” Mthombeni explained.

This statement suggests that after reviewing the case, Mudiwa Hood’s claims may not have had enough legal basis to proceed further. With the charges now dropped, it seems the matter has been closed, sparing both parties from further legal proceedings.

The decision to withdraw charges indicates a shift towards resolving the situation privately, avoiding potential harm to both Mudiwa’s and DJ Ollah 7’s public images.
