By Talent Gondo | DTZ, A Russian mining company which was operating in the country was chased from their concession and premises in Manicaland mafia style in 2016 despite that their special mining licence was still valid.

The company, which lost its assets and other minerals which it had already mined revealed this when the company’s bosses appeared before the Parliamentary portfolio committee on Mines and Energy in Harare today (Friday).
DTZ boss, Victor Kuslya told the committee that armed soldiers besieged their company and forced them off their premises and investment following a government announcement issued by the former mines minister Walter Chidhakwa.
“We did not have a chance to take anything. Our supposed Memorandum of Agreement with government was signed under duress because we had no option. It was either we sign or we walk away with nothing at all,” said Kuslya.
