Terrence Mawawa, Chivi There are disturbing reports about soldiers who are beating up and harassing innocent residents at Chivi Growth Point.

“The situation at Chivi Growth Point is disturbing and worrisome.

Military police officers are beating up members of the public and commuter omnibus drivers.

I witnessed this on 28 February 2018 at 1800hrs. There were no police officers to enforce law and order. Captain Makonese of the ZNA and his juniors are harassing and beating up people for no apparent reason.

They are tarnishing the image of the ZNA.

Urgent action must be taken to bring these rogue elements to book,” said a Chivi resident who declined to be named.
