By Paul Nyathi|Chief Fortune Charumbira has been elected as the SADC candidate in the next Pan African Parliament presidency elections.

Charumbira a self confessed die hard ZANU PF loyalist is the chairman of the Zimbabwe Chiefs Council and leads traditional leaders in the Senate House.

The PAP elections are due next year and SADC is pushing for rotational leadership in line with the AU principles.

Charumbira was officially unveiled as the candidate of the region at a short ceremony in Harare on Monday morning attended by African diplomats accredited to Harare.
