By Paul Nyathi|MDC-T parliamentarian for Harare West Jessie Majome has been dismissed from the party as of Tuesday evening.

Party National Morgen Komichisaid that Majome got herself dismissed from the party after she opted to stand the upcoming elections as an independent candidate.

Majome last month, made a decision to run as an independent in the 2018 polls after her party allegedly imposed a young candidate Joanna Mamombe in the constituency has been the seating member of Parliament.

The MDC-T on Tuesday gave all party members who stood as independents to withdraw their nominations with the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission by end of day on Wednesday or face dismissal from the party.

ZimEye.com confirmed that Majome is amongst ten other MDC-T members who did not withdraw their nomination by end of day on Wednesday.
