Terrence Mawawa|Hundreds of pensioners in Mupandawana town are sleeping in the open as they are failing to access cash due to the drastic reduction of the daily cash withdrawal limit.

Pensioners who spoke to ZimEye. com yesterday said banks in the town were failing to serve their clients effectively resulting in the shortage of cash and meandering queues.

“We are sleeping in the open due to the shortage of cash,” said a retired headmaster.

“The banks here have drastically reduced the daily withdrawal limit, resulting in long queues,” said another pensioner.
