Thabita Khumalo, Mudzuri to Lead Opposition in Parly, Senate

Jane Mlambo|The opposition MDC Alliance has appointed party spokesperson Tabitha Khumalo and Vice President Elias Mudzuri to lead the opposition in National Assembly and senate respectively.

In a statement released after a joint caucus of MDC parliamentarians today, the party said appointed Khumalo who will be deputized by Paurina Mupariwa.

In the senate, Mudzuri will be deputized by Morgan Komichi while Lilian Timveos was appointed chief whip.

In the National Assembly, firebrand Dangamvura Chikanga MP will be the chief whip.

Chamisa warned his legislators against corruption saying if members follow Zanu PF corrupt tendencies, they will be punished by the people in the next polls.

He also reiterated the need for outstanding behavior from leaders which he said will be a conscious demonstration of the desire by the party to address the nation’s problems.
