By Paul Nyathi|Leader of the opposition Democratic Assembly for Reform and Empowerment (DARE) Gilbert Dzikiti has joined the ever growing number of people dumping the Joice Mujuru led National People’s Party and its coalition the PRC.

Dzikiti who joined the PRC as one of the principals wrote to Mujuru on Tuesday informing her that he was dumping both the coalition and the party he founded to rejoin ZANU PF.

Things haven’t been very rosy for Mujuru since the election of July 30. Some of her top officials including Vice President Samuel Sipepa Nkomo have been dumping the party since the party’s poor performance in the July 30 elections.

Dzikiti’s resignation letter reads as follows:

President Mujuru

It is with a heavy heart that I write to you leader on my decision to leave PRC and DARE.Indeed we shared happy and sad moments together .We worked in NERA and signed a memorandum of agreement culminating into the founding and creation of PRC.We share the same nationalist agenda as captured in our manifesto as PRC.However the people of Zimbabwe chose a two party state and rejected our alternative voice. After introspection I have decided to join ZANU Pf and feel the restoration agenda will be fulfilled by President Mnangagwa.I learned a lot from your assertive humble person and respect that deep within you is etched the unwavering nationalist agenda which flows in blood versels of every war veteran and nationalist. It is my hope and wish that we will find each other in ZANU Pf ,a party which I know remains dear to all those who fought the liberation war.I will never forget but will cherish and hold dear all we shared in our quest for a Zimbabwe We Want.It is for me time to build and to help move Zimbabwe into a better nation.

Thank You

Gilbert Taona Dzikiti
