STATEMENT: Wisdom Mkhwananzi, the MRP activist and brave young man who confronted the brutality of the state security, by fingering Emmerson Mnangagwa as the chief suspect in the death of his parents, had to receive treatment yesterday at Galen House Medical Centre for trauma related illness. Since his arrest Mkhwananzi has endured the pain of his assault at the hands of the police and the harassment of his immediate and extended family.

Mkhwananzi had to seek medical treatment when he started losing appetite, failing to sleep at
night and constantly having a feeling of anticipating danger. His blood pressure levels were also found to be slightly above normal.

Mkhwananzi has since been summoned by the Law and Order section at Bulawayo Central Police to appear at court on the 5th of December 2018. The lawyers are currently dealing with this new summon.

We are saddened by the August 1 Commission, led by Kgalema Motlante and we feel that this commission has brought misery and danger to the lives of many, when its mandate was to decipher the shooting to death of only six people, allegedly by soldiers in Harare. We believe that this commission has other sinister motives apart from its public terms of reference.

Mkhwananzi is in need of our prayers as he filters past this dark cloud of political harassment and oppression.
