Terrence Mawawa|Former Zanu PF official Jim Kunaka has boldly declared before the Commission of Inquiry investigating the August 1 shootings a coup was held in Zimbabwe contrary to claims that it was an operation dubbed “Restore Legacy.”

Kunaka rubbished claims that the events that happened in November 2017 were part of the military intervention popularly known as Operation Restore Legacy.He maintained it was a real coup d’etat.

“A coup was held in November last year because the old guard had been outwitted by the G-40 team.

They had to use guns because they had been completely outwitted.

I know everything about the Zanu PF culture of violence. Remember I was a senior member of the ruling party,” said Kunaka.
