Terrence Mawawa|MDC A leader Nelson Chamisa has dismissed former Home Affairs Minister Obert Mpofu’ s claims that he conceded defeat during a telephone conversation.

Yesterday Mpofu who appeared before the Commission of Inquiry appointed by Emmerson Mnangagwa to investigate the August 1 shootings claimed Chamisa conceded defeat when the two had a telephone conversation on August 1.

However Chamisa scoffed at Mpofu’s utterances:”Econet is my service provider.His call was never about the result but the people he
alleged to be MDC members .It was so bizarre to receive a call from Mpofu.This was his first and last
call to me up to today.Why would I discuss unannounced results and concede to a mere

junior minister?” Chamisa tweeted.
