“…Worse the silliest argument that Zimbabweans can not carry their bond note dollars to other countries and buy goods and services as they wish. The point is, as long as the bond note is locally exchangeable for other currencies there must be no qualms. ..”

By George Chinyande | OPINION | It looks like the converse is true as you are likely to be one with a thick brain. Tino kuzivai maZimba mopedzisira mava kuri burner rand racho robva raita marengenya futi. If the $US is renowned for its stability and value, why do you often wantonly increase $US prices of goods like madora, mufushwa, mangai, maputi, majuru, ishwa, nyemba, nyimo, mazhanje, nunguru, tsvoritsvoto, nhengenu, maguava, chakata, mangos, makotopeya, hanyanisi, mavheji, kana howa neponda yendari?
Hamuna kukwana mhani don’t make silly suggestions to mess up other people’s currencies. We thought the best suggestion was the introduction of a local currency denominated Chamisa Chete Chete Zim$ not this unmitigated greed for other people’s money. Why not try one with Biti’s permanent angry face inscribed Biti’s $ for 2.
This appears like an irresponsible silly joke, but we seriously consider the hollow thoughtless idiot thugs’ strong and ever burning sentiments for Chamisa and Biti to be involved in one way or the other in the running of our national affairs despite they were roundly defeated on July30. Even during the 18th November 2017 popular march against former
President Mugabe the anticipation, was that their men and probably some lucky henchwomen must be included in President ED’s cabinet for them to love and rally behind Zimbabwe.
When President ED chose to hand pick his choice of ministers from Chinja he was blocked by the late Save for reasons best known to him. All this noise about heee the bond note is valueless hee lets adopt the rand its all nonsense. The hollow thoughtless idiot thugs simply want their 2 men Chamisa and Biti in the same cockpit with President ED. If not true, why after installing Chamisa as their people’s President they are still wailing and making high pitched noises about nothing to someone they say don’t recognise?
The claim that the bond note dollar is not money or not worthy the paper it is printed on is just hollow and idiotic. If a simple (fuel) coupon is worthy the goods or services one is entitled to recieve, so why is it that the same people reject an instrument the country’s monetary authorities devised to facilitate trade, commerce, payments and storage of value in the interim whilst long term measures are being instituted to bring back the local currency?
A currency is simply that which people exchanging value or material or assets, goods or services, believe is convenient, valuable and legal. Zimbabweans deliberately in self inflicting idiocy mode futily reject an instrument their own monetary authorities introduced given acute shortages of basket foreign currencies. The argument against the bond note dollar is only valid up to a certain moral point and neither the issue of inflation nor the quality of paper on which it is printed can be used as basis for its rejection. Worse the silliest argument that Zimbabweans can not carry their bond note dollars to other countries and buy goods and services as they wish. The point is, as long as the bond note is locally exchangeable for other currencies there must be no qualms. If Zimbabweans are not producing enough exports for foreigners to demand bond notes to come and buy locally produced goods, thats another issue.
We are also of the belief that all those genuine grievances around better working conditions for all civil servants, must be attended to by reviewing upwards their current bond note dollar or RTGS benefits at least comparable to $US terms. This should be fair both to government and its employees.
