Terrence Mawawa|MDC A official has accused the Emmerson Mnangagwa led government of being insensitive to the plight of suffering Zimbabweans.

In a statement Chitando took a swipe at Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube for allocating the major chunk of the National Budget to the Defence Ministry.

The Minister of Finance Prof M.Ncube and the Parliament of Zimbabwe must justify why the 2019
National Budget allocation for Ministry of Defence is bigger than that of the Ministry of Health?Does it
mean it’s important to defend dead bodies?Are we happy to walk over dead bodies in our hospitals as
long we have bullets and tanks?

When we fail to pay doctors and nurses we must always ask ourselves if we are setting our priorities right?Why should our
hospitals fail to purchase drugs yet we stock bullets to shoot unarmed fleeing civilians ?90% of army equipment is purchased by foreign currency but we claim we don’t print US dollars to pay doctors?
