By Stanley Goreraza|It’s not about what Tsvangirai said. It’s about what the Constitution says. Tsvangirai was not a walking-talking Constitution. You do not refer to what Tsvangirai said in a court of law but you refer to what the Constitution says!
Tsvangirai was not the Constitution in as much as he wasn’t Congress! The Constitution and Congress are judge and jury. They work hand in glove. Tsvangirai was neither. He was actually subject to and a product of both. Tsvangirai was a creature with the Constitution and Congress being the creators. The Constitution and Congress are like gods and Tsvangirai was a mere mortal.
A real Democrat would know, acknowledge and respect the Constitution and Congress. He is bound by the decisions and outcomes from both and submits to both.
A dictator though is ordained. One dictator claimed he was chosen by Mbuya Nehanda and that he is what Mbuya Nehanda meant when she said “mapfupa angu achamuka” That particular dictator was couped out of power. Now we have another dictator claiming he was ordained successor by a deceased man instead of the Constitution and Congress.
The Constitution and Congress are what produce a successor and not the word of one man.
This guy doesn’t have a single clue what democracy is all about does he?
