24 March 2019
By Own Correspondent- State owned mobile network provider NetOne has made strides towards restoring communications services in areas hit by Tropical Cyclone Idai.
The development comes following the destruction of infrastructure including mobile network services infrastructure leaving communities here stranded.
The restoration of services also aims at ensuring that affected communities are reintegrated with the rest of the country.
Company spokesperson Dr Eldrette Shereni told the state media that while they are failing to reach some of the base stations due to destruction of access roads, they have managed to restore over three quarters of the infrastructure.- StateMedia
