By Own Correspondent| Former ZBC news anchor Oscar Pambuka’s wife of six years Nyasha Makota has filed for divorce.

Makota approached the courts seeking the nullification of the duo’s marriage vows arguing that her marriage with Pambuka had irretrievably broken down.

Pambuka was early this year convicted and jailed 6 and a half years for duping Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) of over $12 000. He was however, sentenced to three and a half years after part of the sentence was made to run concurrently.

According to court papers, the two got married on June 21, 2013 in Harare under the Marriage Act (Chapter 5:11) and their marriage was blessed with two children.

Nyasha wants custody of the children with Pambuka enjoying reasonable access to them every weekend. She wants Pambuka to pay US$150 per child for maintenance while she covers school fees.

The matter is pending.-Newsday
