By Own Correspondent| Zimbabwe Democracy Institute founder Pedzisayi Ruhanya has warned opposition MDC against fielding double candidates arguing that such actions costed the party seats at both parliamentary and council level.

Ruhanya said if the party continued on such a trend, they risked losing more seats at the hands of their arch rival Zanu Pf come 2023.

He said:

“2023 is on the horizon. MDC refuses to learn from proven irrefutable empirical evidence on how they lost many constituencies and councils in 2013, 2018 in places like Masvingo, Bulawayo Matabeleland South as a result of double candidates. Don’t blame rigging on such things.”
