Zanu PF aligned businessman, Brains Muchemwa has posted that the situation in Zimbabwe is likely to worsen before getting better.

Posting on Twitter, Muchemwa said years of irrational subsidies drove money supply through the roof which is now culminating in inflation adding that the situation will get worse while eroding incomes to around USD100 per month before recovering.

“After years of irrational subsidies that drove money supply thru the roof, its payback time through high inflation. It will get worse, erode average incomes to around US100 per month before getting better.”

Zimbabwe is currently one of its worst economic crisis since the expiry of the inclusive government. This has resulted in a lot of pessimism from citizens who are having to bear the brunt of inflation and shortage of basics such as fuel among others.

The economic instability has also caused political instability as citizens’ anger continues to build up daily.
