Lecturer Confesses To Being Hired To Rig Malawian Elections?

Local Malawian and Zambian media reports that Malawan Polytechnic Lecturer and ICT award winner has springed a surprised after he disclosed that he was hired by the rulng DPP to rig elections by tempering with severs at the MEC. Mayamiko Nkoloma a lecture at Polytechnic has admitted being hired by MEC to doctor elections results in favour of DPP

Nkoloma sad he did his nasty job in Mulanje and he was provided with MEC saver code to manipulate results in connection to 800 000 extra ballots which were printed in Blantyre. The lecturer is reported to have fled the country to South Africa after receivng huge commission from Presdent Elect Peter Muthalka.

According to the manupulated results;

  1. Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) got 1,940,709 votes representing 38.57 percent.
  2. Pastor Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, Malawi Congress Party got 1,781,740 votes representing 35.41 percent
  3. Dr Saulos Klaus Chilima, UTM, got 1,018,369 votes representing 20.24 percent.

Muthalka was declared winner yesterday. Swearing-in ceremony for the President-Elect Peter Mutharika and Vice President-Elect Everton Chimulirenji is expected to take place today in Blantyre.

Meanwhle, Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Chairperson Jane Ansah says the commission does not favour any political party and it is voters who decided the winner of the May 21 elections.
