By A Correspondent- Spokesperson for the MDC Jacob Mafume has lashed out at Zanu Pf sympathisers and its entire leadership for their attempts to tarnish the image of MDC leaders by creating fake social media accounts which they use to misinform the public.

Mafume’s statement follows a post from a twitter account bearing his name which he said belonged to Zanu Pf’s “varakashi”.

Said the tweet:

“The regime is desperate. It is creating fake accounts for the MDC leadership. It has created a fake account for me as the party’s spokesperson for the Secretary General, Charlton Hwende where it issues thinly disguised support for the regime. But we, in the MDC are very clear about what needs to be done. It is not in supporting misguided, ill informed measures by the regime which is like putting lipstick on a frog or is it a crocodile…..?”
