Farai Dziva|Dutch winger Arjen Robben has announced his retirement from football at the age of 35.

The former Real Madrid and Chelsea winger scored 210 goals in 606 appearances across all the clubs he played for in a 19-year-long football career in which he also played for the Dutch national team.

“I have been thinking a lot over the past few weeks,” Robben told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

“As everyone knows, I took the time to make an informed decision about my future after my last Bayern Munich match. And I decided to put an end to my career as a professional football player,”  he added.
