The MDC is a pro-poor people’s movement whose idealism remains firmly rooted on the principles of Social Democracy.

The people’s party would like to confirm that all its legislators who are currently attending the annual pre-budget workshop at Victoria Falls, have the full mandate from the people’s party.

They are attending the workshop to both strategically represent and also promote the interests of the long suffering masses of Zimbabwe.

Each of the MDC legislators is actively articulating the people’s pro poor and strong social strategic approach towards our national budgeting process

Indeed, previous pre-budgetary workshops have been used by our MDC legislators to effectively promote the people’s party pro-poor agenda especially in such sectors as Health, Education, among others.

Further, it is also through the active influence or effectiveness of the people’s party deployees at Parliament that the 2020 budget is clearly going to be influenced heavily by the SMART policy document that was launched prior to the 2018 elections.

The MDC is appealling to all people’s party leaders and members who have any issues of concern to use the appropriate internal channels and structures.
