We the Murowa Ward Community in Zvishavane district totally regret voting for a “foreign” ward councillor and an absent member of parliament. We recommended that the duo be recalled and relieved of their duties immediately as they are sabotaging both the party (ZANU-PF) and HE The President. The councillor and MP must be fired for gross negligence of duty, excessive incompetence and absence from the electorate. Honestly, nobody is representing Murowa Ward both at national and local government levels as these two reside in Zvishavane town faraway from the suffering povo.

To make matters worse, the Presidential Farming Inputs and the grain from government meant for the povo is being stolen by the Councillor’s proxies. The recently donated Presidential rice was looted by these greedy people with each indvidual taking as much as 200kgs! Deserving farmers are being denied the farming inputs and poor families are not being given the grain from the GMB. These proxies, who are relatives of the ward councillor charge exorbitant fees for one to receive the farming inputs and grain. The collected money is shared amongst the proxies, transporter and even the Councillor himself. The distribution of the inputs and grain is corruptly done with the proxies favouring their relatives and clansmen at the expense of really deserving people. A few days ago $15 000 hard cash collected from the poor povo disappeared in the ward councillor’s bar. We urge the police to urgently act on this looting spree!

After each delivery, the proxies are seen with loads and loads of inputs and grain heading to their homes. Some of these ill gotten items are later sold to the needy. We call upon ZACC, ZRP and The President’s Office to investigate this massive looting of inputs and grain by these greedy individuals. We repeat our call for the said officials to be recalled and relieved of their duties immediately!
