By Own Correspondent| Hwedza South MP Tinoda Machakaire has challenged Zanu PF youths to be content with the positions they are occupying and ready to ‘serve and defend’ the party.
Machakaire’s said this following last weeks’ politburo decision to suspend youth league leaders Lewis Matutu and Godfrey Tsenangamu for indiscipline after they had went on and named people who they alleged are cartel kingpins in the country.
“There is a wind of indiscipline that is blowing among the youths, I urge the youths not to be blown by that wayward wind. Lets us respect the party’s leadership. We should do away with the spirit of hatred and that spirit of making unsanctioned utterances,” said Machakaire.
Machakaire who is also deputy minister of Arts, Youths, Sports and Recreation said he was contend with the position he currently hold both in party and government.
“I am satisfied with the position that I am currently occupying. It is up to the leaders to appoint people not to the youths to demand positions. Even in the house there is a laid down hierarchy,” he said.
Machakaire said the youths should also desist from using their positions to extort from other people.
“There are people who go around extorting using their positions in the party. We must work hard to get what we want in life,” he said.
