By Lynnette Jumwa| What rubbish is Temba Mliswa talking about? Is it wrong to have a business and prosper as a white man or business owners in Zimbabwe? Innscor is an indigenous company created by white natives of Zimbabwe, a successful story which is now an international pride bringing in forex, Mliswa wants to stop.
History shows us all former white businesses Mliswa has, suddenly lost both life and productivity soon after becoming his.
It is a company which is providing a lot of employment for black Zimbabweans mainly. This is smart business that Temba is fighting. What beef does he have with Innscor or is it mere jealousy? He talks about Innscor owning 40% of the economy, is the real issue or the matter is about an irritation with race? Then you blame sanctions for Zimbabwe’s economy – people like Temba Mliswa are the real enemy of the state, bigger than the sanctions.
Who will invest in our country , when people who have worked and helped our country to prosper are victimised and labeled as cartels? Have you ever thought what Zimbabwe would be like if it wasn’t for people or companies like Innscor? They are the whites who decided to stay on and accepted Robert Mugabe’s reconciliation policy.

What industry on Harare Drive is Temba talking about? Those are just hardwares. Is there a problem that the whites have taken the opportunities represented to them on Harare Drive, or is it just that Temba Mliswa is a racialist and he hates white. That is not the Zimbabwe that people like Tongogara died for. If the truth be said all the good companies that whites used to own and run and were taken over by blacks are no more. I am pure black Zimbabwean by the way.
I used to work for Rolls Royce under NEI Zimbabwe for 13 years under the leadership of whites, from the late 80s and left in 2000. We controlled all the mines in Zimbabwe provided them with Switchgear, we did most, if not all of the ZESA power stations(Hwange Power Station), brought in all their transformers. Reyrolle, Ziscosteel – we had people stationed there. City of Harare Morton Jaffrary waterworks Ape Pumps, All boilers, Harare Hospital, Parirenyatwa hospital, Olivine, Chibuku, Lever Brothers, too many to mention. In 1998 Rolls Royce (whites ) pulled out of Zimbabwe. Where are we now with our black brothers? Now that is done by briefcase businessmen like Wicknel Chivayo. Temba get real and smell the coffee, don’t be a hater.
For us people in the northern suburbs, the hardwares are so welcome and I am sure I speak for a lot of people. Temba Mliswa stop, stop and I repeat destroying what’s left of Zimbabwe’s only working industries. Let’s have a Zimbabwe that is for everybody black and whites with equal opportunities.
