When other world leaders are demonstrating genuine governance against a common enemy COVID-19, Zanu PF is deploying resources to fight against its own people. Once again ED and his leadership have shown how insensitive they are. When action should be taken towards providing safety, field hospitals, testing, PPE’s and food, action is being taken against those very people leaders are supposed to protect.

MDC – NORTH AMERICA PROVINCE is not surprised though by the judgement passed by the ZANU-PF captured Supreme court giving Khupe of MDC-T leadership of MDC. NAP members, unapologetically and unequivocally, state that the judgement will not sway them from MDC objectives and the obligations to the ZANU-PF oppressed citizens of Zimbabwe. MDC-NAP does not abide by any unenforceable ruling that is not legally binding.

Notwithstanding that all resources and actions should be focused on saving people’s lives not the propagation of kangaroo rulings in order to hold on to power to the detriment of people’s lives. Indeed it is a showcase of desperation for legitimacy at the expense of people during a world war against COVID-19.

NAP will continue to fully observe and steadfastly serve the MDC party led by the President Advocate Nelson Chamisa. We reiterate that political leadership matters are not settled by a partisan judiciary, especially a ZANU-PF captured judiciary.

NAP will remain resolute and see to the end the liberation of the long suffering Zimbabweans who endorsed President Chamisa at the ballot box in 2018, as well as at the MDC National Congress in 2019. We shall abide by the voice of the people, not an act of intimidation to stifle & shut down the people’s will.

NAP calls upon every *sincere* MDC member, from national leadership down to the the grassroots to come together to support and uphold the leadership of our legitimate President Nelson Chamisa, whatever it takes. NAP will work closely with national leadership to ensure the party comes out of this minors setback stronger and united than ever.

Post the Coronavirus pandemic the people of Zimbabwe should never, never, never, forget how ZANU-PF and its cronies chose power, greed, and self pampering over protection of the citizens, provision & safety for them during the fight against COVID-19.

God bless the people of Zimbabwe and the legitimate President of Zimbabwe, Advocate Nelson Chamisa.
