Intentional Flights Boycott South African Airports Due To Strict Covid-19 Regulations In Place

JOHANNESBURG – Emirates has cancelled all international flights to South Africa with immediate effect.
The cancellation is due to Cogta regulations announced this week that treat airline crew the same as passengers.
Other international airlines have also cancelled all their inbound and outbound flights from Durban.
Flights to and from Johannesburg and Cape Town are also expected to be canceled.
Since October 1st, International travel for leisure and business has been unbanned while leisure travellers from countries deemed high-risk will not be allowed in the country.
