About 30 arrested in Chivi as Citizens Convergence for Change gains momentum across the country.
Arrests of all Opposition members,Journalists and Activists sparks the ignition point of a possible Citizens Convergence for a cause.
Chivi Police have arested about 30 people who were gathered to protest and listen an address over the unfair selective arrest of People Power Movement president and MDCA National Executive member Makomborero Haruzivishe, MDCA 2IC Cecelia Chimbiri ,Hon Johana Mamombe and Zinasu President Takudzwa Ngadziore. However all people in attendance were observing all Covid 19 regulation rules wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing. It is clear the regime is up to silence the voice of the Zimbabweans to the extent of brutalising the poor and underpriveledged people of Chivi who were just in solidarity with their fellow friends,leaders and activists who are being persecuted for speaking against dictatorship.
Among the the arrested people are MDCA Chivi North heavyweight and Hon D. Mapipi, youth leader S. Hwaire ,Tongofa Marazanye,Innocent Mudhaga, Beauty Chakupa among other activists and leaders.
MDCA Masvingo youth Secretary Councillor Gilbert Mutubuki addressed the gathering and fired a warning shot to the regime over its continued brutality to all opposing voices. He further articulated that the the young people are up to task since the future of Zimbabwe is in their hands hands they are ready to take all possible routes to liberate Zimbabwe. The regime got a shocker of its kind in Chivi at Mhandamhabwe where they expect people to be their stoogies. They have resorted to use the uniformed forces. Human Rights Lawyers are attending the matter with urgency.
It is indeed from such an act that the regime has poked the Masvingo youth Citizens who have rubbished the act as the beginning of a long unending war against dictatorship.
Many Progressive human rights movements are up to the government’s neck and truely speaking the most expected Visionary ideology is shaping up that is the Citizens Convergence for Change. The need for a unified struggle among Zimbabweans from all walks of life.
