The book titled “A LIFE OF SACRIFICE” was launched in Harare Thursday and was authored by economist and former MDC Member of Parliament, Eddie Cross.
The book talks about Mnangagwa’s imprisonment in isolation in settler-colonial Rhodesia’ and his involvement in the liberation struggle.
The book is silent on his role in the 1980s’ Gukurahundi massacres when as the state security minister, then he engineered the massacre of more than 20 000 civilians in Matabeleland and Midlands provinces.
Renowned historian Miles Tendi criticised the biography, saying it contains historical falsehoods and silences.
“ED was not a member of the Crocodile Gang; Silence on the 1980’s Gukurahundi; Silence on the DRC War; Silence on the death of Solomon Mujuru; The 2017 military coup is referred to as a “military assisted transition,” he twitted
