By A Correspondent- MDC-T, leader Douglas Mwonzora has called for an audit of party funds after reports of $4 million party money.

MDC-T party sources said a recent party’s standing committee meeting confronted Treasurer-general Tapiwa Mashakada and finance director Tody Mapingire and accused them of diverting the funds to private use.

Mwonzora has also asked Mashakada to present bank statements from the day MDC-T received government funding to the date of the last payment made.

Morgen Komichi, the MDC-T national chairman, confirmed the development saying transparency was a fundamental principle.
