A Bulawayo couple’s three-month-old marriage has descended into violence, with the wife accused of physically abusing her husband.

Polite Tsvangirai claims his wife, Tobokamwene nee Ncube, strangles, pulls, and twists his private parts during arguments.

Tobokamwene defends her actions as self-defense, citing her husband’s alleged habit of involving his parents in their marital issues.

The couple’s sex life has also become a point of contention.

A magistrate has granted a reciprocal protection order, directing the pair to cease verbal, sexual, and physical abuse.

The order is effective for five years.
